Just my humble opinion, but both Mimic and Talk Designer are rubbish. They'll just about do for a background figure, but that's it.

I use rotoscoping: I film myself speaking the dialog, then match the mouth shape every 5th frame by dialing morphs. Some critical frames (lips meet or part) have to be matched between every 5th frame.

It took ages to begin with, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty quick.
