I suspected that might be how it'd work... and yes, looking at the mc6 for "Sample Lana - no gen" I can see it call the .py file of the same name, which calls the DSON importer to load the .duf file of the same name...

...and I can see that runPythonScript call is then followed by the actual material groups definitions.

Cool. So... I'm back to just needing to figure out / get my head around the creation of the .duf presets I guess.
