One thing you need to remember about Luxrender is that ANY exporter can only make an approximation of what it reads in Poser and then convert it to a Luxrender file (IOW, a file that unly Luxrender can use and understand). Things will be converted to the best of the exporter's ability but it can't read a Poser file like Poser can read a Poser file. All the Luxrender exporters (including Reality 3 I'm certain) will do a good job to make a comparable approximation to a Luxrender file, but it's still NOT a Poser file.I guess what I'm saying is that Luxrender cannot read a Poser file directly. The exporter has to interpret what's going on in Poser and then approximate that in a format that Luxrender can understand since they're two different programs.
Hope that made sense ;).
Edit: the attached image was made using Snarlygribbly's exporter (one sun outside and the bulbs in the chandeliers as emitters inside), but it would be the same as Reality 3 I'd imagine (although I had to tell that exporter what I wanted in the way of Luxrender materials, which I actually kinda like...I guess I'm a control freak...lol). Trust me when I tell you this image did NOT look the same in Poser...lol. Luxrender does a much better job at realistic looking images than Firefly ever could, albeit much more slowly.
The only reason I like more control over my Lux materials is that I know a bit about Luxrender materials, but I realize that most people won't and won't be interesting in finding out. LOL
