In my experiance larger posters go to smaller dpi unless you want a big photo.

Poser should handle 2400 x 3000 without a big problem . Thats 8 x 10 at 300 dpi.

For web use anything larger than the screen size is a bit of a waste. I hate scrolling to see a pic.
