right now I'm looking at 6 screens here

2 17" Samsung LCD's I refurbished myself (Capacitor Replacements) running as dual on my dekstop, my Laptop 15" screen (with it's broken LCD panel.. a new one is on the way from Amazon and I'll fit it myself...) running my Jukebox, my Galaxy Y phone in it's holder (showing various timezones...), Nexus 7 (7" screen) showing news, Skype, etc, and my Nook Color (rooted) showing network information....

You figure's head looks to be completely life size scale there Vilters! Good going! :-)

I reckon five TV screens like that one, wall mounted, stacked up vertically from floor level and you could have her standing, full body, full life size? He he.

Course a projector might be a better option to achieve that?

A single 22" Dell Ultrasharp LCD IPS monitor (1920x1080)... And I feel happily spoiled.

SnowSultan ( ) posted Sat, 01 December 2012 at 12:39 AM

I recently went from a 37" LCD TV at 1920x1080 to a 27" 2560x1440 IPS monitor...the monitor is much clearer and nicer, but text at that size makes my eyes bleed. Finally getting used to viewing everything at 125% zoom and enlarged Windows icons and such. I tried multiple monitors, it just wasn't for me.  ;)

I've had multiple monitors for a few years now...first it was a 22" LCD and an old 17"crt (btw...CRTs never die - that same monitor is now on the computer in my bedroom...), and when the LCD died, I just said what the heck and got two matched ones. A bit smaller than the old one, but the pictures on these are much more bright and crisp. Of course, now that I've had dual monitors I can't go back to one. It's so nice being able to spread things out across two screens or run one program on one monitor and another program on the other ;).

I have got a 22" and 19" Samsung setup using Poser preview on the 22" and the library and tools on the 19".  Works for me and I don't think I could go back to a single monitor easily.

Would not have enought desk space for any more than two and I think my poor brain would get confused if I did.

I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 -  Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB  storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU .   The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.

went to find me cam! came back to see vilters setup!!! wow my cams gone into hiding poor things ashamed

aeilkema ( ) posted Sun, 02 December 2012 at 3:15 PM

Wow, I must be old fashioned or be really old..... I'm still using one screen and it's only 15.6 inch. I don't even have a monitor, just using my laptop screen for all the work I do. My eyes hurt if I have to sit in front of such a huge screen that close..... I could hook stuff up to my tv, I only do when streaming movies, when working on the tv too long it gives my a huge headache. Now imagine having to watch more then one screen, it fries my brains, but that's just me, apperantly most people can easily do it.

Don't you guys get tired and such of having to look at all these mulltiple large screens?

Just one tip for LARGE screens:
Distance from eye to screen around 1 yard or slightly more.
