This is how my M5 looks imported into vue.  the textures look fine in poser.

I guess e-on needs to play the Poser guys to write them a Poser SDK for Vue that also works with Genesis figures.  Maybe e-on didn't know about Genesis to mention it to the Poser guys.  Or maybe SmithMicro was going to charge more to add Genesis support to the Poser SDK for Vue.

Or it's all in the Poser SDK for Vue, but importing PZ3 only works if your Poser 9 is using a default install and a default Runtime folder.

do you mean my genesis should be in my main poser runtime to make it work?

Well... My DAZ models are all installed in my default Poser Runtime folder.  I don't have any DAZ Studio installed.  Just old Poser 6, and whatever DAZ content that will work with Poser 6.

Vue seems to import whatever PZ3 I dish out to it.  It doesn't matter if I have PZ3 compression turned on or off, or if I'm using external binary morph targets or not.

Probably not gonna happen until they figure out a way to make the multiple UV system for the g-thing work in Poser. DSON is a kludge, after all, and Poser doesn't natively support multiple UV maps for figures......

I wonder if it would be a simple script to change the PZ3 to make Vue put the textures correctly in the figure.

V5 with V4 UV looks perfect.  Perhaps there would be someway to examine this PZ3 and compre it to the M5 with M4 UV which doesn't work and see what it is that is confusing vue.

This is some lines from genesis PZ3.  you can see why vue mightn't like it.

And what is with those dollar signs??  Probably represents how much I have spent at daz over the years. (which is a lot less these days since genesis arrived on the scene)

Is Poser 9 designed to handle Genesis figures?  Or is it just an accident that Genesis works in Poser 9?  I don't know if Vue works with multiple UV maps.  I don't think I have any models that use them (yet).

well vue does seem to work with the V5 UV mapped for V4 taking v4 textures. It isn't a 100 percent but acceptable I suppose for distant pics.

Doesn't have the white patches at least.  However, the M5 just won't work with M4 UVmap,

and neither M5 or V5 work properly initially.  the v5 when uvmapped for V4 as i said, is okayish.

I am taking a wild guess here (and I mean very wild) that the $$ signs have something to do with spacing

 Hi Esther

How did you import V5 properly? I get the texture map issue-I routinely use V4 textures on Genesis. But when I import my PZ3 I get the cage and the figure- ie. I have my morphed and posed V5-but also a second asexual Genesis on top of V5 in the default position.

Shawn

Smith Micro and Daz worked together to make Genesis work in Poser9 and Poser2012.

That's pretty cool.  Are any other figure modeling app companies working with them?

The Siamese twin problem goes away if u have a dressed genesis in poser and then use the new advanced library manager 2.5 version to fit the clothes. R click on the top right window of the library GUI.  Then save the pz3 and import onto vue.
