Subject: Poserpro2012 Library doesn't work without internet.

Anyway around this? I get that fault msg when I open the library and cannot use Poser since my internet connection on that PC is down.

Just install the latest flash and Internet Explorer.

You don't need an internet connection to run the PP2012 Library.

Windows® Internet Explorer® 7 or newer, Adobe® Flash® Player 9 or newer (Flash® Player 11 required for 64-bit embedded library), Adobe® AIR® (external library)

It did work for a while and then all of a sudden it stopped. I have flash player 11 and the latest update of adobe air.

You may need to clear your Poser Cache.

 

Edit menuGeneral PreferencesDocument TabClear cache now option.

Once you have done the clearing bit, exit out of Poser and then reload.

 

That sometimes does the trick.

Check your firewall? That library needs to communicate through the local network.

Very rare I use the PP2012 library. I use Library Manager 2.5

I had the same problem last week.  I fixed it by going to IE, opening "Tools", & making sure that "Work Offline" does NOT have a check mark next to it.  Went back to the library & BAM! there it was working again.

I've found Poser doesn't always recognise when I've updated Adobe Air and it needs a couple of goes before it starts working again.

I think the library must be my most hated thing about Poser.

My resources were not appearing in Poser Pro 2012 -- all of a sudden. It said to dowload the latest version with a link that didn't work very well..  on the troubles went.

If anybody is having trouble updating Flash player there are some real problems updating in both IE and Firebox.  I searched and searched, Googling and Bing'ing...

This install worked FINALLY, after all kind of "time out" failures.

This install does not depend on Active X.

Here's another alternative for the poser 9 / Pro 2012 library, works great and also with P8/Pro2010 in case you need it. Library Manager is good also. Let's hope that with the next poser they will finally ditch the horrible library and switch to one of the much better alternatives that are around. Seems like the majority of users doesn't like the library at all and the others are much better.

I'll have to look into Library Manager, that looks like a good alternative.  The default library gives me a headache too, especially that 2 pixel wide scroll bar.
