Sorry, I meant point Studio to the new file location. Then Reality will pick it up from that. Copy the generated *.tif files from the temp directory to a new location. Look on the surface tab for the material which uses the *.tif file, then use the Browse option and select it from the new location.

I still dont get it why not just add collect textures?

90% of the time it is fine. If you create and render a scene in one go, that's also fine. If you are working on a scene, and Studio crash for some reason, it generates a tiff image file with a new name. Now you have collected e.g. d2.tif, and the new one is d16.tif.
