EGISys got Poser from MetaCreations and founded Curious Labs as a wholly owned subsidiary.  Thus, my perennial joke that after the Germans and the Japanese, an Italian company would be the next purchaser - completing the trifecta of former Axis powers. Maybe they'll go through the Allies for a while, ending up owned by a Russian oligarch or maybe SM is really owned by the Sicilian Mafia :-)
