Quote - But...people had huge V3 inventories but still moved to V4. (I think I still have more V3/M3 stuff than V4/M4.)
I think this is a valid point but I also feel that there is also a factor of deminishing returns. Buy this I mean that, once you reach a certain outlay for something like a Hi-Fi system doubling the price does not double the quality. In this case Genisis may be better than V4 (and I accept some may still prefer V3 over V4) but the question might more accusratley be asked is the impriovement worth the cost which again comes down to each to their own.
I think, or maybe I just hope, that the heated discussions that a subject like this used to cause are in the past. Those that want to use Genesis in Poser have a way of doing so even if it is time consuming. Those that seemed to be pressing for everyone to use Genesis seemed to have accepted that, for many, it is not going to happen. Also the appearance of Genesis appeared to be the drive behind a number of new weight mapped figures further fragmenting the push for a new queen. It could be that no matter how good a figure comes along in the future it will still not have the success of V4 just because the market has moved on.
I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 - Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU . The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.
