You don't need that first step: simply use the blDavid.obj directly as a full-body morph, so there's no need to export the mesh.
(Incidentally, the Young Teens and Stephanie 3 can also be loaded as morphs using this method: Michael 3 cannot.)
It's a shame the joints won't adjust as the figure is morphed. Gee, that's sounds like an interesting project for someone...
