One of the reasons why I developed Reality was to bring a certain type of workflow to the Studio and Poser market.
While you can get very good results with a traditional renderer, you need to be an expert in shader design to do so. The people who use 3Delight, or anynother renderer, for motion pictures employ an array of shader designers who work for a couple of years on compiling shaders.
On the other hand, with Lux, if you want to have believable glass you just have to select Glass from the Reality material types and you get gorgeous, volumetric, physically accurate glass.
It's a matter of workflow. Either study the Renderman programming language for a few months and practice shader writing for a few years, or select a material from a menu :)
Cheers.
