Quote - IE has nothing to do with the material room. It's the library that uses an IE component. And it doesn't use your whole browser or make you use it for your browser. It is (or was at the time) the only reliable way to use an HTML/HTTP UI to host the library component.
It's about a library component that should be part of the operating system or the .net library, but instead is packaged as part of IE. In case you must know why - it was done to so that a single implementation of the library component would work on every platform and every SM graphics product.
Thanks for the why Bill. I like MS for some things, Windows (before 8), Visual Studio, Big, Hotmail, etc. but IE (like the xbox) isn't one of them.
Now I have to yell at CS for telling me to install something I needed (library worked fine) but had no relation to the problem I had.
