Poser doesn't mind tris (or poles) as long as you keep them short.

Also don't forget to split edges where you want to maintain sharp corners. Poser was built for organic meshes, so it does a lot of smoothing and without lots of hard (split) edges, it will easily oversmooth a hard shelled object like a car.
