Quote - > Quote - Forgive me if this is a question that was covered somewhere on this thread earlier, as I do not have the time to go over all 237 pages to find the answer. I have a second, older laptop whose CD, DVD, audio and wireless drivers do not work anymore, but the graphics and video drivers are still in tact. I want to transfer the needed files to that, and install LuxRender there, so I can resume FLMs there, while setting up more Daz scenes in my current laptop. Do I need to transfer all of my Daz Studio runtimes into the second laptop, or will the LuxRender Resource files be enough?
If you check the "Collect textures" checkbox in the output tab, and copy that along with the Lux files, you should be able to run or resume on another machine. Otherwise, you'll have to have a duplicate of the Runtime so Lux will be able to find the texture paths. Collecting textures is a bit easier I would say :-)
As stated, select the Collect Textures option, and the copy the folder with the texture files and the files generated for Lux. You will need to open the *.lxs file in a text editor (e.g. Notepad) and change the string filename line so it lists just the name itself, e.g:
From "string filename" ["F:/Renders/Without You"] to "string filename" ["Without You"]
