Hi RHaseltine.

Have I customised the materials in DS?

Well, not completely yet... as a matter of fact that is the reason I have put off making a DAZ Studio version of my models till now... previously most of my models have been textured entirely by image based tiles, so there really was no point... But several of my newer models have material based textures (mostly mt5s) like metals and glass... I have made a small library of materials that "appear" similar to their Poser counterparts, mostly metals and some colored glass... I'm still working on a metallic "automotive finish"...  But anyway, yes... That is my intention and main reason for wanting to make a DAZ Studio version of my props. Since mainly the only individuals who use my models are newbies, I figure it is better if they don't have to redo the materials themselves or fuss with it too much to get it to work.

I think I understand what I must do... Import the model, Redo the non image based materials using DAZ materials, and then save it via: File> Save As> Support Asset> DSF Figure or Prop File.

Thank you for all the info, I'll also look into finding that thread at the old DAZ forums
