Use the good Doctors example on a square flat primitive scaled to a rectangle.
The white area around the badge make it black and the inside all white and plug into the transparency node set to 100 percent in the material room.
You should have a rounded cornered ID badge. Of course you have to plug the original into the diffuse channel.
Now if you want it to look like it's been sealed in plastic....then get a sound editor and edit the famous sound track by the 3 Stooges..."Calling Dr. Howard, Doctor Fine, Doctor Howard" and change to calling "Dr. Geep, Doctor Nay-Say, Doctor Geep" and post to this thread.
I flunked material room 101 in college 9 times so you need somebody else like the Good Doctor or BB to tell you how to make it look just shiney enough, but not to shiney so you don't blow out the picture and the text on the badge.
