The real kick in the "you-know-what" is when artist's contributions are plagiarized in that they take credit for all the work. I have had that happen to me three times(evident) now.
The first was a student asking for one of my renders to be rendered from another angle. Turns out he turned it in as his collage assignment and got an A! All they did was expel him.
Then another student (different state) turned in an airbrush painting I created for them and it was turned in as thier assignment. Nothing came of it becuase I could not prove otherwise. Ouch! (I know, I can be so gullible)..
Then there was the time I revamped a school's hockey team logo and created a promotional poster. The school took the logo and made it thier main AND I saw my promotional poster on a freeway sign advertizing thier football games.. NO CREDIT TO ME.
So forgetting to credit someone CAN be almost criminal.. But just ALMOST. Plagiarizm is the real crime.
Thanks for putting up with me.
