Subject: How can I save a MAT in the pose library that changes the entire body texture?

you cannot, you have to save as a material collection, then convert to a.pz2 in a text editor.

although there is a python script/plug-in that will make .pz2s and .ds files from within Poser.

look for 'MatPoseWriter' over at RDNA.
