Welcome to the Poser community.  Glad to have you as a new member.

As far as V4 -

1st rule - never allow a DAZ installer to run a default location - always default to a temporary location (I have a temp folder on my desktop) - this will allow you to look at the file structure and do maintenance if any is needed.

You are not doing anything wrong.  DAZ installers are designed to get products into Daz Studio 4 - they are not designed to get things into Poser.  Be happy that you weren't around back in the bad old days of the bitrock and the earlier VISE installers - DAZ played all kinds of games with where products defaulted to.

DAZ doesn't have a standard install location for products sold at DAZ.  They scatter files all over your hard drive & depend on meta-data to ensure that it shows up in Daz Studio 4.

If you want to know where V4 is installed - use spotlight to look for the file:

blMilWom_v4B.obj - This is the obj file that is used for V4 (and SP4, G4, A4, SF4)

/Runtime/Geometries/DAZPeople/blMilWom_v4B.obj

That runtime holds your V4.

On a mac, your default Poser 2012 content library is:

Users//Shared/Poser Pro 2012 Content

The Application, Poser 2012, also has a runtime - do not install content there, only install python scripts.  (It's a long story, just go with it.)

My recommendation is to make a separate runtime for your V4 figure (Actually, I recommend that you make a separate runtime for EACH of your figures).

As an example I have a folder named:

Additional Runtimes

No, it isn't clever - it is very clear however.  Inside that runtime I have (among others):

V4, V4 Clothes (because I have WAY too much V4 clothing), Antonia, M4, Michelle, Apollo Maximus, Modern Homes, Science Fiction, etc.

Each folder has it's own individual runtime - when working on a scene, I just add the runtimes that I need via the "add library" button, so Poser 2012 is most responsive.

Final note - "Initializing" V4.  To add morphs to V4, you have to "initialize" it.  The initialization file hides in the !DAZ folder that sits in your libraries subfolder. Look for:

DzCreateExPFiles-V4.command (This initializes V4.)

DzCreateExPFiles-V4-V3.command (This initializes the V4-V3 hybrid.)

The following products require initialization:

Victoria 4, V4++ Morphs, Aiko 4, V4 Muscle Morphs, She Freak 4, Creature Morphs for V4, The Girl 4, V4 Elite Body Shapes, V4 Ethnic Faces, Stephanie Elite Base for V4 (SP4), and NPM for SP4

If you get M4, the following products also require initialization:

M4 Base, M4 Morphs, Hiro4Base, Vladimir, Freak4, Freak 4 Character Morphs, M4 Elite Body Shapes, Freak Creature Expansion, M4 Ethnic Faces, Morphus, and Morphus Gens.

In addition, the M4 gens requires a seperate initialization.  Don't waste your money getting the "Pro" bundle if you want M4 to have "toast" - better "toast" are over at male poser erotica - google it.
