UAC has played havoc for many users in many different ways.  The default install for Poser 9 under the Win 7 enviroment is Programs Files with content installed into the Documents folder, a share location.  This I should have clarified in my original response post. 

The usual issue for many unfamiliar with UAC & Poser, unable to find content loaded into Poser's parent runtime folder.  Other problematic manifestions are unable to load figures, clothes or morphs, unable to render or simply application crashes.  If you are guilty of the above, reinstallation to the proper default location will correct the problem.  Otherwise, 3rd party security programs could be the culprit and LaurieA's advice is relative good to follow.
