aha - i don't want anyone else knowing the secrets of my success.
Okay, as long as you don't tell anyone else here they are.
I've also edited my first post - but just for you shshshshhhhhh!
I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!
which is the one that does the partial pose? does it work in p7?
thanks. partial pose sounds terrific!

It's the advanced library manager. so when you go to your pose folder and choose a pose, if you right click on it, you get options to just pose a part.
But I am on poser pro 2012 so I don't know if it would work for you or not.
Maybe someone else can answer that I hope.
I have lots of his scripts and I don't know if there would be any I could do without. I'm constantly using them. Some more than others, but at times even the ones I don't use very often come in handy.

The best Poser script would be the one included in Poser.
Whenever an app needs a 3rd party script to become end user friendly, the app is not end user friendly.
A perfect end user friendly app would not require 3rd party scripts.
IMHO they should all be included.

I disagree. Alowing pluggins broadens an apps use. Remember it was poser users who discovered mat files. Poser wanted us to do it all from the materials folder.
anyway having tried to create scenes with and without python scripts I can firmly say that I can get done a week's work in a day.
And should the funcionality be included in poser? What motivation would the community have to create and innovate?

IMHO the most user friendly app is one that allows me a great deal of scope to customise my experience of it...
...e.g. by choosing to add plugins.
That's not to say there isn't plenty for the Poser UI developers to learn from what is implemented as third party Poser add-ons... that they could build back into the main program..
...whether those be the likes of Semidieu's various scripts, or Snarly's, or PhilC's...
e.g. Wardrobe Wizard, EZSkin, etc.
Of course, some, like Wardrobe Wizard, or D3Ds Advanced Render options, are now bundled with the app, I guess.
I don't know if there have been past examples of add-ons whose functionality has been integrated into the core program?
But still, aside from distributing the component support, investment etc... having a plugin architecture is what fosters innovation from the wider community surely...
...and that is a fantastic thing to foster... isn't it?
EDIT: X-post... in summary, I agree with what Esther said above ;)
That's always safest (agreeing with esther)

monkeycloud, you are going to love advanced figure manager. It is just so quick to parent a whole bunch of things to one thing or to make the lower half of a character invisible so he doesn't poke thru the clothes etc.

Which ones do you use the most?
I can only get a few of these now, even at these low prices.
What would be the most essential ones?
I don't want to sound like a sales troll supporting a merchant on a competitor web store, but I have definitely found Semidieu's (Shaderworks')

Utilities 2 - Vol5 - Materials inputs
to be of immense value when importing Sketchup models for setting up and rendering in Poser Pro 2012. I bought it at full price, though.
That one, and Snarlygribbly's Scene Fixer python, are very helpful for getting rid of shader node setting artifacts when a Sketchup-exported OBJ is imported into PP12.
( I can't seem to locate a current link to the SceneFixer script, unfortunately).

Will have a play once my current render finishes...
...if my wife doesn't go into labour before that ;)
TylerZambori,
I would not like to be without any of my scripts. But here are the ones I use the very most:-
I use advanced figure manager 2 and advanced library manger the very most, then next I use the lights and parameters ie all the utilities 2 scripts, but the advanced material mangager is a real timesaver at times., and I can't be without advanced shaders launcher and art materials toon plugin because that is how I do my tooning for my comic.

I love Library Manager. I tried to love Figure Manager, but it seemed to conflict with some items at times after load. I am getting the upgrade though, since he mentions a lot of updates/fixes, etc. If it works without these issues, it would be the best! (and a very helpful utility for anyone coming from DS, as it gives some similar feel to the Scene tab in that program)
I don't have any conflicts but I'm on a mac and I'm using the latest version of figure manager.

Actually, I stumbled onto MAT poses because there was no materials folder. You had to set up each material manually (no copy/paste either) - this was in the days of Poser 3. There was no materials library until Poser 5.
And I actually prefer the materials folder, now that it exists, since MAT poses have a bad habit of silently adding extra material zones if you accidentally have the wrong item selected.
tl;dr: I invented MAT poses, but please stop using them, and use MT5/MC6 instead :)
hehehe - okay okay well maybe. It is hard very hard to break old habits and we need content makers to make us do this.

But which one can automatically clothe a figure in a whole folder full of clothing figures instantly with the conform to scale and magnetize to V4 etc all checked, and can then change several materials of the differnent clothes in one hit as well?
that's in the advanced library manager. I does a lot of things a normal poser library doesn't do.

Decided to give Library Manager a try. It seems well worth the money but still need to get past the learning curve. One thing I don't understand is how to get new runtimes into the Manager. i keep all my runtimes on a network drive. i had a handfull loaded in poser when i installed the script and they show up fine but i can't figure out how to add more other than to load them, one at a time, into the stock Poser library. Then Library Manager sees them after restarting the app. Seems like there would be an easier way.

i have a load multiple runtimes script that does a whole folder full of next renal runtimes into poser. Cohen advanced library manager and poser can see them. Can't recal i how I got that Or if poser or advanced lib manager has this too

You must have found those scripts at the same place you found the Load Multiple Forum Posts script, lol. Actually a quick search shows that Shaderworks provides one that works specifically with Advanced Library Manager, also on sale. That also answers the question of whether it's built in to ALM. Thanks.

they speed up my work flow so much that it has now become possible to make my comic whereas it never used to be really feasable.when u use these scripts the UIs are like just normal poser windows with extra stuff that poser doesn't have (although it should). Useful things like grouping things together and moving them all at once, or shift clicking on a whole bunch of figures or props then hitting delete or hitting parent to the grouping object etc. there are way too many things to describe, but I highly recommend anything shaderworks.
I can automatically clothe a figure in a whole folder full of clothing figures instantly with the conform to scale and magnetize to V4 etc all checked.
I can then change several materials of the differnent clothes in one hit as well.
I can right click on a pose and chose say just the arm of the pose or the lower half of the body or the hand. No more need for partial poses anymore.
These things do so much I can't even begin to tell you how useful they are.
And the good news is they are on sale so if you haven't got them then be quick.
