Subject: learning to make figures

I then used the hierarchy editor like you said to set the dependencies. Then I hit Create new Figure and named it and saved it as a pz3. I then cleared the screen and found my new figure and opened it. All that was there 3 times in a row was the bottom of the mushroom stem. nothing else. what went wrong

Make sure that you have the parent selected in the hierarchy editor and not one of the children when you click on 'create new figure'. It sounds like that's what happened. If you have the parent selected, everything that is parented to it becomes part of the new figure. If you have one of the children selected, only that part becomes the new figure, since there is nothing parented to it.
