I wrote an extensive thread about skin shaders, doing comparisons with the new nodes, at RDNA.

From that, most people concluded that my setup with Scatter + Blinn was the best. That is why it is in EZSkin that way. If you want to use the SubsurfaceSkin setup, it's in that thread.
