{Jam: And to those who want to jam me for waving the Bible around, let me just say I didn't print IN GOD WE TRUST all over our money. Neither did the US till the McCarthy era.} Seriously? I didn't know that... Interesting {For cures, security, without a question, needs to be tightened. As far as background, skin color, etc. that is all determined genetically and no on has any control over that. } Security needs to be CHANGED. We need to TRAIN the security people to look for seriously suspicious behavior, explosives, and potential biological weapons. These should all trigger major reactions. Guns and knives shouldn't be a concern - each flight should either have an armed Air Marshal, armed flight crews, or both. Yes, there is a risk that a stray bullet will take out the plane, but I think that risk is easier to take than the risk of another plane being flown into a major population center or national landmark. And any passengers who want to carry weapons - and have any relevant licenses and such - should be allowed to do so. That will discourage a terrorist more than anything else, IMO, the thought that "I've got a gun, but so do half of the other passengers"... {Though I usually subscribe to the Way of Weatherwax (a good friend of Ms. Cosmopolite)} Heh. Don't drink HIS blood then! {This thread is now going to go absolutely nowhere but down. } No, DD. Given its title, this thread STARTED at rock bottom. It has nowhere to go but sideways... {In answer to your original question mesh -- T. McVeigh was a christian. Doesn't his bombing of the Oklahoma City Federal Building mean that christians have worn out their welcome in America?} I just heard that brought up on the radio. He was also a radical Conservative as well, and an alleged Constitutionalist. Of course, the media WANTS those two groups kicked out of the country...
