With all due respect, it's not that bad. It'll work just like a win 7 machine, you just need to lighten up a little and take it for the new os it is.

 

No disrespect but you sound like someone who has driven a forty year old car all their life and is then complaining when they step into a modern car about the differences, mainly because they expect things not to change and haven't bothered to read the manual or take the time to aquaint themselves with new things.

 

And I doubt the speed it is downloading software and updates is anything to do with the laptop nor os.
