My friend jorge did this pic on the forum at daz with the star burst and other effects.

I've found the shapes in photoshop but I can't find that starburst light ray look.  Any ideas?

I am in in CS6

There is, or was, a filter called Axion Flair Effects that could do that, but I don't know if it's available anymore.

Available on Amazon for the Kindle E-Reader Monster of the North and The Shimmering Mage

I found a tutorial for Ps here:http://cgnauta.blogspot.com.br/2008/07/explosion-estelar-tutorial-para.html

but at the end of the process, the effect turns into an image with background, and I can not delete the background.Sorry.

Thanks, but it isn't quite liney enough for me and it does come without transparency so I have to change the underlying pic a bit by setting the starburst to screen.  I could certainly use it though if I needed the starburst behind something. It actually looks pretty cool like that. Nice.

msg24_7 I managed to do this by using that tutorial you sent, then select by colour and cutting out the starburst then using a few blending options.  Not bad!!!
