Ain't that the truth! Unless you run it on Linux... ;) Yet is just seems to be totally bass-ackwards for a rendering app to be at the mercy of a user's profile... if the profile gets corrupted you lose all your work... and mixing appdata with user space data is less than optimal.
In any case I'm giving up on what apparently is a quixotic adventure...
