Greywolf - I was not bashing christians when I made the above question (#52) to Mesh - I made that post as a way of pointing out how ridiculous it is to pick out some group of people and blame them for the actions of one individual or a few individuals. It is as ridiculous to blame all Muslims for the WTC as it would be to blame all christians for Oklahoma City just because McVeigh happened to be a christian. One might just as well say, "well, the terrorists had black hair, so EVERYBODY with black hair is now a suspect and must be banned from airplanes." And now, many (determinedly non-thinking) people are now attacking Sikhs and Hindus, two groups who have traditionally been at odds with and frequently fought against Muslims, simply because they wear turbans or look "middle eastern". And if the next terrorist attack somewhere in the world just happens to be by someone of say, Scandinavian origin, with blond hair - would it then be appropriate to hate and suspect ALL blonde people everywhere of being terrorists??? Mesh - Let me put it this way. I have no idea what your "ethnic" background is, but whatever - if somebody somewhere who just happens to be of the same ethnic background as you commits a similar act of terrorism, then by the logic of your original post to this thread, it would be only fair and correct to suspect YOU and ban YOU from planes because of it. As I said in my earlier post, SOME people (Mesh - this means YOU - among others) need to make a HUGE shift in their habits and consider actually USING a few of their brain cells for a CHANGE.
