Looked at Blender years ago when I actually thought I could learn to model.   Ran screaming to GUI land and found I couldn't model in those either! Haven't looked at the new versions but every week I here  of a new cool feature. If I were starting again it would probably be what I'd try. My Vue is old, Vue 6. I think you can get the free or entry level is/was IIRC in the $30-$40 range. The latter can be upgraded with modules. Again probably mis-remembering but I think to get to Poser import was about $129 total?? - more than I could afford/justify ATM but 'reasonable'. It's great fun to play with ecosystems etc. my but nowledge remains pretty much at the 'make landscape button' level :-)
