I am starting over with Poser. I bought the Poser 12 Pro. Its installed, but I am just now getting content. I backed off of Poser 9 the first time because of how difficult it was for me to understand the file structure and the Runtime libraries.
Well, now I have my first zip file so you can see how my search brought me here. I think the option to install from zip may be the only way for me to go.
I don't want to screw this one up. I have lots of old Poser 9 and Daz content spread around my computer and my USB hard drive.
I intially started setting up my files a couple of years ago, following one of the tutorials here, I even bought a couple of books but found there is more than one way to approach Poser files and I think I ended up with a hybrid system.
So, now I have this zip file sitting on my external hard drive in a folder cascade F: > My Poser Files > Downloaded Zip Files. I also have a files structure that I created from the tutorial that remains on my C drive at C:Poser Content, which has children folders of >Accessories, Clothing_Female, Clothing_male, Figures_Hair, FIgures_People, and Renders. Each of these folders contains a Runtime Folder.
When I installed Win8, I moved everything that I could find related to Poser or Daz to this F:My Poser Files but beyond that, all I have done is try not to trash my stuff.
What's the best way to start a salvage?
