Quote - Modo does Smoothing groups also. Just putting that out there if anyone was wondering.

Ooh, excellent!  I bought Modo several years ago when I had some money... and I've barely been able to use it for anything, since.  It will be good to get some use out of it.  :woot:

Quote - Here's another thread with many thoughts on the subject that illustrates the various methods of overcoming this phenomena in Poser, smoothing by groups and or materials included. BTW, UVMapper pro (Tools/normals/smooth, select smooth by material) and Ultimate Unwrap (select/material/autosmooth faces) will create smoothing groups.

Bookmarked.  Thank you for the link.  What version of UV Mapper Pro has this?  I am still using version 2.0u.  I bought version 3, which proved not to be portable to a new computer.  When a forced paid upgrade was presented as the only solution to this version 3 failing, I backtracked and have found version 2 solid every time I change systems.  I may upgrade again at some point, though, if I'm thinking about it and the new tools make it worth the trouble.

Cage can be an opinionated jerk who posts without thinking.  He apologizes for this.  He's honestly not trying to be a turkeyhead.

Cage had some freebies, compatible with Poser 11 and below.  His Python scripts were saved at archive.org, along with the rest of the Morphography site, where they were hosted.
