E-Frontier tried to put out advanced figures with Poser 7, the G2 figures.   They provided a large selection of clothing, but there were issues with the figures, and they never caught on, which is a shame, as they are pretty good looking figures. 

Shvrdavid weightmapped Sydney, and I think pulled out half his hair during the process because of the issues with lack of symmetry and stray verts...
