I read on Yahoo that the next Avengers movie will include Spider Woman. Leads to some very interesting questions.
  1. Will it be Jessica Drew or Julia Carpenter? Jessica is, I believe, the original. Julia's costume looks more like the black suit Spider-man.

  2. Will she be a villain or already an agent of SWORD?

Her powers are impressive. It would make an interesting story line either way...

I saw this and figured I'd try my hand at making her costume. Won't be rigged, and will more than likely be a two piece suit, with the gloves, boots and unitard all-in-one. The mask will be separate.

I went with Alyson and a 3Dream morph for her because of the weight mapping. Sorry for the quick second skin. I just wanted to see how she would look.

I noticed once again that even with weight mapping, it's very hard to simulate a comic pose. What you see above is as close as I could get it without creating problems in the mesh.

And I won't be doing anything much more than this until I finish Miki's armor. That was giving me a headache, so I am taking a break. But the creative juices were flowing. I'm sure you all know how that is...

Here is the pic I was trying to emulate.

I know that most comic poses are nearly impossible in real life, but this one looks really cool. I want her to be able to do sticking-to-wall poses and such.

And yes, the webbing under her arms will be part of the costume I create.

No idea which one will be in the movie, but I have this on a Sci-Fi CD and found it at this site also:

Also, check this out.  I do not have it, so I cannot comment on its ease of use:

Ha!

I don't remember that one. Of course in '79 I was living in a home with no power so we didn't watch tv. Kerosene lamps, wood heat and propane stove. Ah, those were the days.

I am going to assume that if they go with Spider Woman they will be using Jessica Drew. She's a much more complicated and convoluted character.

Yeah. Very similar pose to what I wanted. The difference I believe is that they applied the V4 fixes to her. Alyson doesn't have those, so there are some mesh issues with extreme bending. I don't own V4 and I don't really use preset poses unless I am working on a prop or figure. I prefer to pose manually.

Crap. Nevermind.

Now they are saying it will be Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. I don't know about this. But we will see I guess.

The current storyline calls for brother & sister heroes referring to Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch, which were pivotal members of the Avengers.  If the moviemakers are literal to the comics, it would be the first introduction of mutants to the team.  Especially since Wanda and Pietro are the prodigies of Magneto himself.

Awesome. I love superhero stuff. I might try to create this for the Alyson 2 bodysuit and long gloves for Anastasia and offer as a freebie.

Could add to the drama, since they are Mageneto's children, and their loyalties come into question from time to time.

That's kind of what I was doing...

Would love to see that, especially if they bring Scarlet Witch to the screen. Here is an old test image I did in DS last year (click for bigger)

Now I wonder who they will cast in that role.

One of the many things I've learned since using Poser. It's one of things you notice a lot more when you're dealing with models (real people and 3D figures).

There is an actress under consideration but nothing official yet.  BTW, Quicksilver will be featured in the next X-Men movie.

Really? I'm intrigued. That would be the follow up to X-Men, First Class, yes?

Gotta google that...

Googled it. Bryan Singer tweeted it, whatever the hell that means. Quicksilver will be in the new X-men and he will also be in the new Avengers with his sister. He also stated that Saoirse Ronan is being considered for the role, but nothing firm yet.

That's why I asked for the long gloves at Poserworld in the first place . Works good as space suit material, too.
