I get the sense that this is not such a simple question.  :lol:  Thank you for the interesting responses.  I think I may make myself a small box, kind of a set of blinders with top, bottom, and sides, to look through.  See if I can get a sense of how much I should see, with my peripheral vision clipped to the range of the render area.  Hmm.
