The old rule of thum, with the photographers I associated with over ten years ago, was that for 35mm format the 40+mm lens was closest to the human eye. Thing is that's an odd size and the manufactures settled on 50mm. I imagine 50mm was a more convenient number with less distortion. Some would say that 75mm-100mm was about a normal lens for medium format cameras depending on which medium format you used. Here's the Rub, in Poser I have no idea if it's designed with any known film format in mind.
