Not quite. Perspective lines are defined entirely by where you're standing and are not influenced by focal length. Focal length does influence magnification. So the issue is how to stand at normal distance like you're talking to a person, but still fill the photo with the face / portrait. For this reason, we use 85mm to 105mm so that we don't have to get 2 feet away to fill the frame, resulting in a very odd perspective that we're not used to.
