That's not looking too bad, actually.  Ideally, it should have more contrast -- be darker around the edges -- for my purposes.  The sparkle should also be less pervasive, which is to say, less prevalent as a "flat" effect through the whole shader, popping more where the light hits.  Possibly you are using a flatter lighting arrangement than I favor.  :unsure:  I do like your colors quite a bit.

One of the main problems I'm having with any GC attempts is that I lose any contrast along the edges that I try to add.  GC just strips them right out.
