strangely enough they sent it to me via fedex but never emailed the tracking number to me untill I had contacted them about the same thing. in my case I recieved it later than other folks who had orered it after me. notification about shipping is usualy standard practice and helps avoid pissed off customers. I ship stuff every day using fedex to part vendors and customers at my work and always include their email in the tracking. It's part of the fedex software/website.
