Hi Pamela, If you just want the installed content, copy the runtime over, but if you copy the entire program directory the program should work. I've done it with Poser 7 and I'm told it works with earlier versions as well. Just make sure it doesn't end up under Program Files in either case.
Once you have done that you can add that runtime to the Poser 10 Library as an External Runtime....
PS when you reinstall Poser 10, be sure to install the Service Release if you haven't already...
