'Scared shitless' is probably closer to the mark than 'worried'. Which I find an excellent state of affairs. The corpronazi's running the D-thing made the eternal mistake of believing their own hype. Inertia is not forever, and the damage done to the D-thing's former rep is pretty much self-inflicted. As was mentioned elsewhere, this is sounding more and more like the Newtek/Luxology situation (also fomented by suits telling geeks how to do things...or not do things based on marketing assumptions).

The Gray Golem(tm) was at best a partial success, as all us poserites -didn't- toss our preferred software away and grasp at the shiny new bling. And from the timeline of certain names leaving the Draper-place, it sounds like there was a solid core of dissent there. I always wondered what DAZ could have done if they hadn't kept cutting it off to stay with P4 level tech. Looks like we'll get to see.....and maybe this time there will be a respecting for the creativity in the Poser-verse, not a trampling on.....
