Quote - Listen up. Genesis works fine in PP2014.

Create your Genesis figure in DazStudio. Export a cr2. Open your cr2 in Poser. Use Poser's funky new subdivision to smooth the mesh.

Now you can use Genesis just like any other figure, it'll even take V4 poses/animations.

It'll also work in earlier Poser versions, but without subdivision, you'll only have a lowres figure, that may nevertheless be useful.

I know some of you are adverse to even opening DazStudio, and indeed earlier versions used to cause me the notorious instant crash. But 4.6 seems to work just fine. Just think of it as a nifty little free format converter and ignore all the other baggage.

Still, I don't understand why DAZ don't offer cr2 files for download, now Poser has subdivision there is no need for all this DSON nonsense.

Summary:

Genesis = very useful Poser figure.

DazStudio = nifty free format converter.

DSON = nonsense.

It's all good...

Yea, genesis gas great technology within daz studio. Unfortunately, a huge number of poser users will not go through these steps to make it work. You're underestimating the barrier it represents for a middle of the road user with limited time to make something fun.
