Funnny thing is *I still use my Python Scripts from (mainly) the PP2012 runtime, located on my K: along with any other Poser install right back to Poser 4 L This is the first I've ever installed somewhere other than K: hmm.

I did try to put a copy of PoserPro.exe some other places. Renamed to Poser.exe. Because I did remember that issue with earlier installers.

And interesting about the Poser Pro 214 Content folder. I have a Poser Pro 2010 Content and a Poser Pro 2012 Content folder. But as far as I can see, no PoserPro2014 content folder. And Ryan, along with all the other native Poser guys are accessible through the default Poser Pro 2014 library. The two previous Poser Pro versions did create both a (mostly empty) regular Runtime along with the ...content folder. But apparently not this one.

I suppose I could install one of the previous versions of Poser Pro (they're "installed" insofar that I recently had to reinstall Windows, so although all the files are still there, there's no entry for it i the reg dat. Which MAY be why the installer can't find it.. I dunno.

What annoys me is that even when I point the installer to a folder with a poser.exe... nothing happens, other than the installer telling me there's no Poser there.

I've tried it both with Poser running and with Poser closed down. No difference.

The zip file containing the TylerInstall.exe unpacks fine, so it's not a corrupted download at least :)

And yes I did a classic install. The one "not recommended", but that's how I've installed previous versions as well (or.. perhaps not since I DO have the Content folders from the two previous versions...)

GAH! I just wanted to look at this new iteration of Ryan, since I actually liked Anastasia. sigh

I still wish SM could just zip up the thing as normal. With a Runtime Path. Atl east make it an option to download an "old fashioned" version of it.

I wonder how the Mac version is packed.. perhaps I should get that and have a look?

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
