Quote - There was more imagination back in the V3 days. Vendors tried to make things that hadn't been done before. Sports outfits, Spacesuits, Western gear, Dragons, etc etc etc. Anything new was good. Then over time the stores ( all) realised that sexy female outfits outsold everything else, so that's what the vendors focused on. As buyers we are are as much, if not more, responsible for this than the vendors.
I dunno. The handwriting was pretty much on the wall with V3.
I think the difference might be there were more stores back then. A lot of my non-typical Poser wear came from the "alternate" stores, many of which are not in business any more.
In any case, it's reason for me to continue to use the Gen3 figures. Sure, I can convert the clothing. I have a bunch of WW licenses and am not afraid to use them. But the clothing usually looks best on the figure it was made for, and there's often no reason not to use, say, David instead of M4. I've got a lot of nice characters for Gen3, too, and they don't convert as easily.
