Wondering if you got Poser 9 at a special offer price? As I did hear that some folks were unable to get the discounted price on the new Poser because of it..

Gremalkin, did you try contacting them. They've had problems like this before and were able to fix things, but sometimes it was on an individual basis.

OK this wasn't Poser 9 but PP 2012. And I was able to upgrade with that serial. And PP2012 was upgraded from PP2010, which was upgraded from P8...

As a matter of fact I THINK I've got all my Poser versions at upgrade prices ever since Poser 5, which IIRC I was able to buy at practically nothing at a sale...

This post/topic made me curious a bit and so I went to http://poser.smithmicro.com/upgrade.html  to have a look, since I couldn't bring myself to upgrade from PP2012 yet (and no, usually I'm not that cheap LOL, but this version, beside a few things I'd like to have maybe (the improved morphing tool) :P ... wasn't giving me the "urge" just yet. )

I thought, as well, that the sale would end with the month of June, but to my surprise, it seems to be still going on. For how much longer, I cannot say.

Oops.  Sorry, that was not my intent. :)

     The sale was supposed to be over as of yesterday.  I'd say if they haven't changed the update price yet, you would be wise to jump on the chance while it is still there.  You're living on borrowed time.

     As for answering the question, I don't think I'd ask SM.  The end of the sale is clearly stated on the web page as expiring June 30.  Today is the day of opportunity;  who knows what tomorrow will bring?

The sale is over, I just left the page and the pricing only have the pricing without the extra discount, I held off and held off but last night I said what the hey I know I am going to do it anyway, lucky I did...

I'm with MistyLaraPrincess...  I'm interested in upgrading from P8 to the newest Pro version (esp for 64-bit, subdivision, network rendering) but 279 was too much.  Now 349 is even worse. 

If they ever drop the price below 200 I'll bite.

I bought P4, P4 Pro Pack, P5, P6, P7, and P8, so I think it's fair to say I'm a loyal customer... but until now none of the post-P8 upgrades were worthwhile for me.  And this one isn't either unless and until they price it for hobbyists.
