Another thing about tutorials is.........
Don't waffle on about things that are not required. Go straight into the tutorial, get people working on things.
Also, don't go for massive sized tutorials, like 50+ pages.
Small steps, leads to confidence, leads to wanting to learn more.
Even when I have written an entire computer course, each chapter of that course is never longer than 15 pages. That's the average amount of pages I have found that a user can take in at a time. After that, they start getting tired and restless and start making mistakes.
I would sooner have more parts to a tutorial and know a user can follow it, than put out a massive one and have users getting lost and anot continuing.
