Penguinisto, you've covered so much of it. Having used a 'nix Desktop OS for 3+ years straight and having used Windows for 10+ years, I've seen the good and the ugly from both. Unfortunately I'm reaching a breaking point with Windows again. I want my daily smooth as silk file and memory handling back. It's amazing how using another OS changes your perspective. I can't just "live with" the ongoing effects of bit-rot and the OS not letting go of memory constantly biting me in the butt on a daily basis like I used to. A Mac user I know witnessed me update and install stuff on Windows 7 for 2 1/2hrs. He said he'd forgotten how much more work it was to do that on Windows. Then when you throw TIFKAM on top of that it's no longer if but when I go OSX. So stick a fork in it, I need a 'nix OS for my Poser and right now it looks like a Mac.
