I added an HSV node in front of the color map, with tint color RGB 244, 235, 255, and a Value multiplier of 1.1. The result looks better to me, and the distinct tonal difference between body parts is much less apparent.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
