First thing to try, is simply reinstall it.  That actually may help.  Second, you might want to make sure that Poser runs as an Admin.  Right Click the icon, or start menu Poser item and look at properties.  Shold be one that says Run as Admin.  

You may be bombing out on Windows security feature, path not set or you cant write to a certain directory because you dont have priveleges.
