This is an example of lighting a car with one light only. The technique used is replicating the lighting used for car commercials. A few years ago I had the chance to visit a sound stage in San Diego where they shoot car commercials. The studio is equipped with very large lights, about 40-feet long (about 12 meters), suspended over the car.

This render uses the same technique, with a reflector on camera right, used to light the side of the car.

The floor has been set to very high gloss material with a dark grey diffuse color:
